Preventive Medicine
Animal Clinic of Oxford believes preventative medicine is an
integral part in maintaining a healthy and happy pet. In addition
to vaccines, we also perform ultra-sounds and x-rays to ensure
that bones, tissues and internal organs are functioning properly.
For older pets we strongly encourage a senior pet health screening
to test for early signs of diabetes, kidney, and liver disease.
Due to our warm climate, we recommend keeping pets on flea,
tick and heartworm preventatives all year long. We offer a
variety of these products to choose from for the health and
well-being of your animal.
Surgery
Animal Clinic of Oxford offers a wide variety of surgical procedures.
The doctors’ perform routine spays, neuters, declaws and tail dockings. They also perform orthopedic,
ophthalmic, and soft tissue surgeries.
Reproductive Services
Animal Clinic of Oxford offers a number of reproductive services.
We are certified with the AKC as a semen freezing facility. We perform both regular and surgical artificial insemination
as well as C-Sections. We perform progesterone and LH testing.
We offer early pregnancy testing through the use of our ultra-sound
machine.
Laboratory
Animal Clinic of Oxford provides in-house diagnostic lab work
as well as collaborating with other labs to provide additional
comprehensive lab work. Our in house tests include: heartworm,
intestinal parasite, parvo, feline leukemia, and lyme. We also
conduct CBC, blood chemistries, urinalysis, thyroid and cortisol
tests. For more comprehensive tests, the bloodwork is sent
to off-site labs.
Pharmacy
If you need medication for your pet, we have a full pharmaceutical
department that fills your prescriptions while you wait. We
also refill any prior prescriptions and can phone in more extensive
prescriptions to a local pharmacy that is convenient to you.
Dentistry
Animal Clinic of Oxford also performs dentals as a means of maintaining
the highest level of health possible for your pet. We offer
routine dentals, extractions, and sealing treatments as needed
for your dog and cat.
Boarding
When you travel or leave for the weekend, Animal Clinic of Oxford
will be glad to board your pet. We have large runs and a variety
of cages. The dogs are walked several times a day, watered
as needed, fed twice daily and are given plenty of love and
attention. Cats are fed, watered, their litter boxes changed
as needed and of course given lots of love. We also accommodate
any special diets that are provided by the owner and administer
medication if needed. We require all animals boarding with
us to be current on all of their vaccinations.
Grooming
At The Animal Clinic of Oxford we offer many services for your pet’s
general grooming needs. We offer baths, full and hygiene shaves
for dogs and cats, nail trims, expression of anal glands, and

A healthy balanced diet not only lets your pet feel good and
look great, but it also helps prevent illness and injury associated
