Dr. Stephen R. Redding Dr. Stephen R. Redding
A native of Lafayette County, Dr. Redding attended Mississippi State University and graduated from its veterinary school in 1991. After a year in Omaha, Nebraska at a large animal practice, Dr. Redding and his wife moved back to the Oxford area. Dr. Redding has been practicing at the Animal Clinic of Oxford since 1992.

An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Redding enjoys hunting, horseback riding, and cattle farming. Each summer, Dr. Redding travels to Central America to do veterinary mission work with the Baptist Medical Dental Mission International.

He is a member of the Mississippi Cattleman’s Association, on the Board of Directors for the Agricultural Mission Developmental Foundation, and Baptist Medical Dental Mission International. He is also a former member of the local Kiwanis club.

Dr. Redding’s main interests in veterinary medicine are small animal infectious diseases and surgery, and beef cattle production medicine.

Dr Redding’s wife, Mindy, is a professor in the psychology department at Ole Miss. They have three sons, Jonathan, Joshua, and Jared.

Dr. C. Lee PayneDr. C. Lee Payne
A native of Corinth, MS, Dr. Payne attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and Mississippi State University. He graduated from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After graduating, Dr. Payne spent one year in Memphis, TN, before moving to Oxford and joining the Animal Clinic of Oxford.

Dr. Payne enjoys training and trialing his labrador retrievers in licensed UKC and AKC hunt tests. He also raises one to two litters of puppies a year. He is an avid duck hunter as well. Dr. Payne also enjoys fishing, snow skiing and scuba diving.

Dr. Payne is an Eagle Scout and received the Dean’s Pegasus Award in 2000. He is an active member of College Hill Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Payne’s special interests are in canine reproduction and internal medicine.

Dr. Payne's wife, Rachel, is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law and is presently employed with Takeda Pharmaceuticals as a Pharmaceutical representative. They have one daughter, Peyton.

Dr. Laura Nicholas WilsonDr. Laura Nicholas Wilson

A Native of Oxford, Dr. Wilson began working part-time at the Animal Clinic of Oxford while in high school. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1992 and then attended Mississippi State University, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1999. After graduation, Dr. Wilson spent over six years practicing at a clinic north of Atlanta, Georgia, focusing on small animal care. In 2006, she returned to Oxford and the Animal Clinic of Oxford.

Dr. Wilson’s husband, Britt, is a native of Pontotoc, Mississippi, and is employed by The Stanley Works Company. Their daughter Loughran was born in October 2008. They have two chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Hershey and Sadie. Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with Britt, Loughran, and their two labs, as well as cooking, reading, and quilting. They are members of Oxford-University United Methodist Church.

Dr. Wilson’s special interests in the veterinary field are endocrinology and feline medicine.

Dr. Hannah Baskin HeatonDr. Hannah Baskin Heaton

A native of Union County, MS, Dr. Heaton began working part-time at the Animal Clinic of Oxford during her time off, while in undergraduate classes at Mississippi State University. She attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in April of 2009. She joined the Animal Clinic of Oxford soon after graduation.

Dr. Heaton's husband is also a native of New Albany, MS, and is currently employed by Amerispec Home Inspection Agency in Olive Branch, MS. They have two miniature schnauzers, Ruby and Susie, and two horses, Delta and Ditto. Dr. Heaton enjoys running, horseback riding, and cooking during her free time.

Dr. Heaton's main interests in veterinary medicine include equine medicine and reproduction, small animal internal medicine and oncology, and ultrasonography. She recently received the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association's Companion Animal Award and the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Large Animal Surgery Award. Dr. Heaton is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the Society for Theriogenology.
