Originally from Batesville, AR, Dr. Ryan attended Arkansas State University for his undergraduate tenure. While there he was an active member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, as well as a cadet in the Army ROTC Redwolf Battalion. Following his time at Arkansas State, Dr. Ryan attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine of which he graduated from in 2016. After graduation, Dr. Ryan took a commission into the Army and acted as the Officer in Charge of the Fort Rucker Veterinary Treatment Facility in southeast Alabama. Dr. Ryan joined the team at Animal Clinic of Oxford in July of 2020.
While enjoying time away from work, you will typically find Dr. Ryan in the outdoors. He and his wife, Emily, are avid Fly Fishers and thoroughly enjoy sight fishing tarpon and redfish. When not fishing, you can find him training and trialing his labs or chasing ducks and wild turkeys across the public lands of the southeast.
Dr. Ryan’s special interests in veterinary medicine include canine orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation, as well as canine reproduction.
Dr. Ryan’s wife, Emily, is a graduate of Auburn University and went on to receive her masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Women’s University. They have two labs, Daisy May and Dahlia Grace; and are active members of Pinelake Church.
