A native of Lafayette County, Dr. Redding attended Mississippi State University and graduated from its veterinary school in 1991. After a year in Omaha, Nebraska at a large animal practice, Dr. Redding and his wife moved back to the Oxford area. Dr. Redding has been practicing at the Animal Clinic of Oxford since 1992.
An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Redding enjoys hunting, horseback riding, and cattle farming. Each summer, Dr. Redding travels to Central America to do veterinary mission work with the Baptist Medical Dental Mission International.
He is a member of the Mississippi Cattleman’s Association, on the Board of Directors for the Agricultural Mission Developmental Foundation, and Baptist Medical Dental Mission International. He is also a former member of the local Kiwanis club.
Dr. Redding’s main interests in veterinary medicine are small animal infectious diseases and surgery, and beef cattle production medicine.
Dr Redding’s wife, Mindy, is a professor in the psychology department at Ole Miss. They have three sons, Jonathan, Joshua, and Jared.
